Lecture 2: Ambitwistors and amplitudes

Tim Adamo (U of Edinburgh)

Sep 07. 2021, 11:00 — 12:00

Despite many similarities, ambitwistor theory is quite different from twistor theory: it is non-chiral, agnostic regarding the number of space-time dimensions and does not naturally encode equations of motion. We will discuss the basics of ambitwistor theory and how it underpins a certain class of formulae for massless scattering known as the Cachazo-He-Yuan formulae.
