Jets as Light-Ray Measurements: the Strong-Coupling Limit

We establish a unified light-ray operator framework for small-R jets and energy correlators. This provides an operator description of the jet measurement; consequently, small-R jet factorisation follows from a generalized light-ray OPE, and jet cross sections can be studied at strong coupling in N=4 super Yang-Mills using results from AdS/CFT. This talk introduces the relation between correlators and jets, before showing how sequential recombination algorithms generate unexpected non-trivial structure in the strong-coupling limit.
