The work of Isabelle Gallagher is always oriented towards important physical problems, whose solutions require deep Mathematics. I will present some of her main contributions to Mathematical Physics, in particular Fluid Mechanics (dynamics of rotating fluids) and Kinetic Theory (derivation of the Boltzmann equation).
