Uniqueness and non-uniqueness for percolation on groups

Tom Hutchcroft (CalTech)

Jul 18. 2023, 10:00 — 10:45

I will survey the theory of uniqueness and non uniqueness of infinite clusters for percolation on groups, including both classical results and ongoing developments. I will emphasise connections to group-theoretic topics such as amenability, hyperbolicity, property (T), L^2 Betti numbers, and so on.
