Some Mass Concepts in General Relativity

Lorenzo Mazzieri (University of Trento)

Mar 15. 2023, 11:45 — 12:30

In this talk, we will describe some new approaches, based on PDEs methods, to prove fundamental results in mathematical general relativity, such as the positive mass theorem and the Riemannian Penrose inequality. In doing so, we will also discuss the interaction between various concepts of mass and quasi-local mass arising in classical and recent literature.
