Flow equations and convergent expansions in quantum field theory

Manfred Salmhofer (U Heidelberg)

Apr 13. 2026, 15:50 — 16:50

I review flow equations for effective actions of quantum field theories, their mathematical structure, and their role in renormalization theory. I then discuss how they can be used to generate convergent expansions for correlation functions of regularized quantum field theories, give applications for fermionic and bosonic models, and discuss some open mathematical problems.
