In celebration of the recent Yngvason-Buchholz paper, I shall review the operator algebraic approach to many-body quantum physics. This is a powerful operator algebraic framework that has led to new insights in the analysis of Bose-Einstein condensates, the construction of ground and equilibrium states for interacting oscillating lattice systems, and beyond.
