I am going to discuss several issues important for our understanding of two-dimensional magnetism which in my opinion deserve a special attention.
1. The role of spin fluctuations in the theory of two-dimensional and quasi-two-dimensional magnetism, epsecially the role of long-range dipole-dipole interactions which violate conditions of applicability of Mermin-Wagner theorem and can lead to the true long-range order at low temperatures.
2. Possible role of magnetic polarons ("ferrons") in 2D magnets, especially in CrX3.
3. Peculiarities of exciton spectra and magnetooptical properties of CrX3 and CrSBr.
4. Hybridization of plasmons and magnons in 2D ferromagnets and possible use of plasmon measurements to probe spin-wave spectrum of 2D materials.
