Rare events point processes in infinite measure dynamical systems

Mar 20. 2024, 15:45 — 16:45

We will start by reviewing some of the classical results for hitting and return time statistics in the infinite measure context. We will then generalize some of them to treat the rare events point process, considering all the return/hitting times.

We will apply this method to get convergence of the rare event point process around every points in the context of the infinite measure Manneville-Pommeau maps.
