Abstract: Nichols algebras naturally occur in two-dimensional conformal field theories with nonsemisimple representation categories (logarithmic CFT models). The theory of Nichols algebras can yield crucial hints to the (generally complicated) structure of these models and their representation categories. I will discuss the currently emerging details and relevant problems of a tentative general correspondence between Nichols algebras and logarithmic CFTs.
