Modern Representation Theory and Algebraic Geometry

The aim of our programme is to survey recent progress in representation theory inspired by ideas from algebraic geometry, to gather experts to discuss some emerging new directions, and to map out some further areas where exciting progress can be made. More specifically, our events will aim to study new approaches in representation theory emerging from the study of specific moduli spaces in algebraic geometry, as well as settings where representation-theoretic ideas provide new results in algebraic geometry. At our different events, the following topics will be studied: Higgs bundle moduli spaces and big algebras; quiver varieties, bow varieties, and quantum groups; the enumerative geometry of Quot schemes and moduli spaces of stables sheaves and connections to Yangians; and other, more general themes of modern geometric representation theory.
