Research in Teams Project: Renewal Theory and Thermodynamic Formalism for Flows

The purpose of this project is to investigate statistical properties of non-uniformly hyperbolic (semi)flows w.r.t. equilibrium measures. A central theme is how to view phase transitions in terms of the transient/positive recurrent/null-recurrent classification that was introduced into this field by Sarig. Operator renewal theory applied to (doubly perturbed) transfer operators will be among the main tools to address these questions.
