Geometric Transport Equations in General Relativity

General Relativity and Kinetic theory constitute two generally independent and highly active fields of Mathematical Physics. Combining these two theories provides a relevant and realistic physical frame, in which many natural phenomena occuring in the context of general relativity, such as black hole formation, or particular solutions, such as symmetric steady states, can be studied. The proposed one week workshop aims at gathering the mathematical general relativity community to discuss the current major open problems for the set of equations arising from the combination of General Relativity and Kinetic Theory, the Einstein-Vlasov system, and the related systems of equations.
