Nonlinear Water Waves - an Interdisciplinary Interface

The aim of this interdisciplinary workshop is to examine recent progress in the broad research area of nonlinear water waves with a view to stimulating future research and collaborations. This workshop will interweave two primary thrusts of research in nonlinear water waves, namely the analytical and computational approaches to studying the governing equations, and it will be organised around five main themes.

Topics:

  • Nonlinear wave-current interactions
  • Geophysical water waves
  • Analysis and justification of asymptotic models for water waves
  • Numerical computations of water waves
  • Nonlinear surface waves in related physical problems

Several participants will give introductory lectures and further talks (for more details please visit the homepage of the programme).
