Scattering theory is of central importance in many branches of mathematics and physics. The goal of the programme is to bring together experts with different perspectives and interests. Particular topics will include the N-body problem, theory of quantum resonances, quantum chaos in the context of scattering, and analysis on locally symmetric spaces.
We are planning to conduct two workshops as part of the programme, both intended to cover a wide range of topics. The first workshop will take place March 26-30, 2001, and the second one May 21-25, 2001. In addition, we anticipate that many participants will be present for extended periods throughout the semester.
