Erwin Schrödinger Institute - Research in Teams

The Erwin Schrödinger Institute Research in Teams Programme offers teams of 2 to 4 Erwin Schrödinger Institute Scholars the opportunity to work at the Erwin Schrödinger Institute in Vienna for periods of 1 to 4 months, in order to concentrate on new collaborative research in mathematics and mathematical physics. The interaction between the team members is a central component of this programme.

Groups of researchers interested in this programme should send a proposal. The proposal should give a detailed description of the area of research and the methods and goals of the collaboration. It is encouraged to justify the case for using ESI. A complete application includes CV and list of publications for each team member, and a suggestion of a length of stay and an interval of time, in which the team members would all be available for the visit. Junior scientists (i.e. researchers less than 5 years from PhD) should give at least 2 names of research scientists in the field of the proposal who can be contacted for information about the applicant's research achievements and potential. Applicants should submit their application including all supporting documents to the address below.

The Erwin Schrödinger Institute Research in Teams Programme starts January 2012. Applications can be made any time but a proposal must be received a minimum of 4 months before the proposed start of the stay. Local expenses in Vienna will be financed by the Erwin Schrödinger Institute, for the period of the stay, with 80 Euros per day per team member. Travel to and from Vienna is not reimbursed.

Please send your proposal materials to RTeams.ESI@univie.ac.at or by mail to the following address:
